Default Cruising with small kids

We are going on a cruise in July to Alaska. We are taking both of our kids (2 year old and 4 year old) on the cruise. While we are looking forward to the cruise, we are concerned about how to "best manage" with both kids on board with us. Or son (4) is old enough to participate in the kid programs they have on the boat, but our daughter (2) is too young (You have to be at least 3 to paricipate) so she will have to be with us all day long. Any advice?? Thanks
