Default Princess Cays

On our itinerary is a stop at Princess Cays. Is there a town or village within walking distance? Is this stop just a day at the beach? Does anybody have any suggestions of things to do?

Princess Cays is a day at the beach. You can relax on the lounge chairs all along the beach, you can go swimming, rent all kinds of water toys, do some snorkeling. There is a small gift shop and some little kiosks along the walkway. Very neat, very clean facilities. There is always a game of volleyball to be found. There is music and dancing. The lunch buffet is pretty good.

I found Princess Cays sailing on the Caribbean Princess not as well as I thought it would be. There was little shade. And there was long walk from the pier to the buffet. I returned to the ship and relaxed in the pool which was almost empty and watched a nice movie on the big screen. It was a small dissapointment but it didn't ruin my cruise. Princess Cays wasn't good for me but it can be good for others.

I have been too princess cays four times now,I do not find it a long walk to anywhere on the beach, the last time there was right after wilma and the beach was not as nice as the past times but you can tell they worked their buts off too get it as far as they had since we got there only days after wilma came threw.I find princess cays one of my favorite stops on the cruise,to me it is one of the most relaxing days of the cruise.I know my feet always like it because they are not putting on 15 miles in 6 hours like the other ports.

I echo all you said Paul, We rented a cabana and as we burn easily it was a good decision. It was the most relaxing day of our cruise and we are looking forward to returning to the island in October 06 on the Carribean Princess. 8)

Had a great day at Princess Cay. Then again, my wife and I enjoy a day at the beach. No problems getting a chair, a spot in the shade and good service. Beach was very nice.

Walk to the buffet was minimal (we don't mind walking a few hundred feet) the food was what you would expect at an outdoor buffet, plenty of burgers, hot dogs, ribs, fruits, salads etc.

If you don't like a day at the beach, well you have the option of staying onboard.
