Default Coral/Island D417/D416 Mini-Suite

Hi! I am going to be booking (this Friday) a Panama Canal cruise on the Coral Princess for 2007, and have a couple questions about Mini-Suites D417/D416 on the Dolphin Deck. I know these are covered by the bump above, so they have more privacy than the uncovered Mini-Suites on the Dolphin Deck.

1) I was looking at pictures of the decks/balconies, and noticed that there is "something" underneath D417/D416 that looks like a big box. Does anyone know what this is thing is, and can anyone tell me from experience whether this "box" makes noise, etc?

2) Are the balconies for D417/D416 the same size as the other Mini-Suites on the Dolphin Deck?

Thanks in advance!

8) Good evening,

Your balcony will be '' slightly'' more covered than the others on that deck, but not 100% more.
The white '' box'' you're referring to is likely containing inflatables to be used under emergency; no noise at all. They're located on Emerald deck and laid against the railing. They're not even in the way when you amble around on the promenade.
Every minisuite on Dolphin deck has identical-size balcony, in terms of measurements.
Happy sailings
You'll love that ship; we sailed sister Island P twice...lovely. Near perfect size; well laid out. rides quite well.

Cheers

Default Thanks!

Thank you for your reply to my questions. Having a partially covered balcony will be perfect. That is great news about those being inflatables underneath that mini-suite! My husband thought that "box" may be a generator or window-washing equipment. Thanks for verifying the balcony size. From the pictures I saw they looked the same, but the pictures weren't perfect.

Everyone seems to love the Island/Coral, and she is right around the same size as our favorite RCCL ship (Serenade of the Seas) so far.

Thanks again!

Hi,
They MEASURE about the same, lenght, draft, width....but the Radiance class packs more guests than the Coral class ( Approx 2,575 VS ,2365 ).
Their GRT sets them a bit apart.
They're both VERY good ships.

Happy sailings

Hi,

Actually, they MEASURE almost identical ( GRT, lenght, width, draft ) but Radiance class packs approx 250 more guests than Coral class.
None the less, two very attractive and pleasing ships.
Cheers

Default Thanks again!

Thanks again for the info! We really liked the size of the Radiance class ships and the fact that we didn't seem to be "squished" in with a ton of people.

Can't wait to sail on her now!
