Default where to stay pre-cruise

I'm cruising on CB on April 15 and would like an inexpensive hotel to stay before departing. I'm looking for something reasonably priced but doesn't need to be too close.

you have lots of choices in Ft. Lauderdale for inexpensive hotels - there is a Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, both near the airport and cruise pier.

Should you pre book or just take your chances upon arrival?

Two weeks ago , we stayed at the Comfort Inn - Airport on Federal Hwy.

When waiting for our luggage, we call them and they sent a shuttle to take us to their Inn, next morning we had a complimentory breakfast and they drove us to the pier. Transportation to & from the airport, the pier and breakfast was all included in the price of the room.

If you go to an hotel that is far from the airport or pier, the taxi cost can mount up.

The airport to the inn was about a 10 minute ride, to the piers was less than 10 minutes. Several good restaurants were within 5 - 10 minute walk.

Also, they had free internet service.

Hope this can be of help.

Have a good cruise,

Bill
