I am getting rather concerned about our trip on the Golden Princess on 8th & 15th April. We are travelling from the UK and it is our school break here but didn't expect it to be the same everywhere. Are we going to be overrun with children. I don't mind, but would like some warning to prepare myself. I work in a school and thought I would be getting away from the children for 2 weeks.
From what I heard, spring break varies and should be considered anytime during March/April.
The Golden is a great ship and there are lots of places to escape. During the day, you can go up to the Disco for a nice shady spot to read. The view is amazing! I'm not sure if Golden has been fitted with MUTS since I've been on it, but if not, the 2nd floor above the Calypso pool was always a nice spot to sit and read and get filtered sun (great place to nap too!).
Spring breaks do vary from state to state/country to country, but bear in mind that Easter is April 16th and a lot of schools and universities have breaks that week. The Golden is so large, I'm sure you'll find a place to get away from children. I believe there is an adults only pool I believe up by the spa, you could check that out.
