Our family is going on a 9 day cruise, and I'm wondering what type of activities there are for my 18 yr old daughter. It seems my 14 yr old has plenty of activites available to her(according to the trip brochure). My wife and I know the 18 yr old does not want to hang with her younger sister, and I don't think she wants to hang with mom and dad. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
p.s. whey're sailing on the Crown Princess
at 18 she can take part in all of the adult activites on board the ship. She cannot purchase alcoholic drinks on the ship, but she can on shore. There is the pool, hot tub, plenty of sports. Chances are she will find some other older teens to hang-out with.
Usually on the first evening the ship will have a meet and greet for the 18-20 year olds. Be sure she goes to that so she can hook up with others her age. Otherwise, she will really be in that "dead zone" age group. No planned activities for them. She will be able to get into the disco at night and her younger sister won't.
Our DD will be 18 for her 5th cruise over Spring Break and is not worried about it. Maybe you can check the Meet on Board for other families sailing with you and with any luck there will be osmeone in exactly the same situation!
