Okay, I married a landlubber who does not enjoy staying on the ship. Can anyone tell me the best way to get off the ship as quickly as possible in Grand Cayman if you are not on a tour? I have heard of an early tender before the tours, but don't know how to get the tickets for this tender.
He has even suggested we buy the first tour and then tell them once off the ship that we are not going with the tour.
this what you do, you go to the Purser's desk, tell them that you have booked an early private excursion to Sting Ray City and you need to be on the early tender. The purser will tell you when and where you have to go to pick up your tender tickets. There is no charge for the tender.
It is true that ships excursions get first boarding priority, but Princess is really good about getting you off the ship and onto a tender.
You can also listen to the daily announcements and they will tell you where to go to get a tender ticket, then go there when they start and get a ticket. Its usually fairly quicklyly, and buying an excursion just to get off is expensive.
