Not interested in personal choice dining. Have always done late seating, but because we will have 3 days at sea on upcoming cruise have confirmed early seating, but still thinking about late. Would appreciate any thoughts and input on shows in relation to dinner times, since they differ by ship and itinerary.
on our cruise on the Golden we chose late seating Traditional- the show times basically revolve around the Traditional dining times, you will have plenty of time to have dinner and make a show. I only recall one night when we had to skip dessert to make a show. With that being said, we are very leisurly diners, we like to sit and chat over dessert, coffee and an after-dinner drink in the dining room.
Just returned from Golden. We had late traditional seating at 8:30. My opinion? I wouldn't do it again. I'd opt for either early seating or anytime dining. It was just too late by the time we got out of dinner (10:30 or so.) Most nights I was practically falling asleep at the table and couldn't even think about taking in a show. The one night I was able to stay awake, the show was over by the time we got there.
