Does anyone know the best/affordable way to call home? In the past, we have tried to use phone cards with no success. We are going to St. Thomas, St. Maartin, and Princess Cays.
Also, how much is it to email?
It is cheaper to use the internet cafes on land than on the ship. The ship runs anywhere from 50 cents a minute and up. We have not made phone calls from the ports, so I cannot answer that part. Sorry.

MaryLou: The Internet is the only cost-ffective way to contact home. If you are a Princess Platinum Member (six or more cruises), onboard Internet is a free perq. Next best is an internet cafe while in port; it was ten cents/minute on the main street in Nassau in November, when on Celebrity. I have never tried to use computer-based voice calls while offshore or onboard, but I'd expect they would work and are just pennies a minute. Contact NetZero, as one provider. Good luck. - jwd136
