Golden Princess--How much Rock and Role in Antarctica?
Am thinking of booking on the Golden Princess to Antarctica. I have been advised that the Golden rocks and rolls more than smaller ships. Any experience in heavy seas? Am comparing this to the HAL Rotterdam.
Am attracted to the back to back startiung in New Orleans on the Golden.
We were on the Grand last November for a Med and trans-Atlantic crossing. As soon as we hit the straights and headed to the Azores, we had heavy seas for the next 4 days.
The ship was moving pretty good. One night I felt like I was going to be tossed out of bed. Some folks did not do very well.

When you enter or cross the Ross Sea (I don't know if you are going to the Southern point), this is one of the most roughest seas on the planet. I use to work for a company that does cruises down there on Russian Icebreakers so we heard the stories (and they don't have stablizers!).
