Default Regal Princess shops and dress

We are booked on the Regal Princess Panama cruise 12th October. Can anyone tell me what is for sale in the shops in terms of soft and hard drinks and confectionery. I note that there is a fridge in each room so presumably one can get something to go into it.

Also are tuxedos/dinner jackets the norm or are lounge suits ok.

Thanks

Chris

Chris - the vast majority of the men will be dressed in dark business suits , and tuxedos for formal nights.
All other nights on Princess are resort/country club casual - which translates into nice pants and a polo, collar or hawaiian print shirt with nice casual shoes for the men.
The ship's store is small and has a very limited supply of goods, and it is pricey. Supplies are best bought in port.

Hi Chris,

The shops will have liquor for sale, but they will hold it until you debark. You can't take it back to your cabin. I don't recall seeing any soft drinks in the shops, but you can buy a soda card for fountain drinks or buy canned soft drinks at (I think) $1.50/can + 15% tip at any bar. You can also order soft drinks (in the cans) from room service for the same price.

The shops also have candy, chips, and things like that, but I doubt if you'll need them with all the food that's available !

LisaK is right. If you want these things buy them in port or bring them with you.

You can bring a "reasonable" amount of soda onboard. We always take two 6 packs of Diet Coke (bottles) with us in a carry on and have never had a problem. When they're gone you can use the carry on for all the "stuff" you buy in port! I've also heard of people bringing a case of soft drinks and checking them with their luggage (just slap a luggage tag on it!).

Have a wonderful cruise!

You can order liquor from room service for consumption in your cabin. Prices are not to bad considering what a drink in a bar costs. Mix is also available.
