Default Tundra Wilderness Tour

we are going on a land tour starting on May 21st. The history tour in included in our trip and after reading about the tundra tour I am wondering if we will be able to change to that when we are in Denali. When and how would we do that. Someone told me you could book land excursions, once you are on the train???? The land tour is first and then the cruise is on the Sapphire. It is our first trip with Princess and our first trip to Alaska so I would love to hear anyone's opinions on the ship and the trip.

Most of the Tundra tours are booked ahead of time. One of our fellow passengers was able to change his tour to the Tundra once in Denali. (There was only 1 spot left on the last tour of the day). If at all possible,do the Tundra tour as it is a wonderful tour and well worth the time and money. We saw most of the animals and our driver was knowledgeable about all aspects of Denali. The buses stop when an animal has been spotted so everyone has a chance to watch them and take pictures.
