We are planning a private excursion in Iceland and would consider a few more participants. The Reyjavik tour(8 hours grand circle tour) is limited with a few spaces left($85.) based on 20 participants
The Akureyri tour (5 hours)is $75 based on 20 participants and has more spaces available.
These rates are MUCH LESS than the ships rates!!!!!
These are comparable and better to the ships excursions without the designated stops of the "shopping" breaks one must endure on the ships excursion.
There is NO cancellation fee if traVEL AGENT IS NOTIFIED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE oF PENDING NON DEBARKINg due to weather or other conditions. . There is a 15% cancellation fee if within 24 hours.
This is very highly rated reputable travel agency in Iceland.
The economy (savings)is very reasonable considering the ships excursion rates and the availablility of a private tour with english speaking guide makes this very attractive.[/url]
Iceland is great! I was there last Sept. and really enjoyed it! 7 of us rented a van and drove to the Blue Lagoon to soak, spent an hour or so there (I could have stayed longer, it was great)! From there we drove to the Falls and the Geyser, well worth seeing.
Trouble we found with the tours is you couldn't do it all. We wanted to swim in the Blue Lagoon as well as see the Falls and Geyser, none of the ships tours allowed enough time to do everything plus they included a lunch, too, which takes up time.
Hope you find others to share your tour. We met up on Roll Call Boards ahead of time.
