Default Cruising in Feb?

How is cruising in Feb? DH and I took a Carnival cruise in April (thought we would try a different cruise line this time) and was thinking about a Valentine week cruise but did not know how the weather would be. Is it to cold? The port of calls look like they are warm but how about on deck or on your balcony (if we get one)?

Thanks for the help.

Susan

we did a Valentines cruise and the weather was nice and warm. It might be a bit chilly on deck your first or second at sea day but once you get closer to the islands it should be nice and warm, hot even.

Hi desertskies!!

February is a fantastic time for a cruise because this
is just about the time when we are getting tired of the
snow and cold of winter. We have cruised a few times
in February and feel this is the best way to break up
the winter. The Caribbean is usually very warm so you
should really enjoy yourselves. Have a great cruise!!

In February, all of the major lines send their ships either to the tropis or to the southern hemisphere, where it's summer. Thus, you'll find warm weather for nearly all of your cruises. Itineraries that originat in southern California or on the Gulf Coast usually have somewhat cooler weather on the first day or the last day, respectively. Itineraries originating or terminating in southern Florida also may have cooler wather may also be possible on the first day or last day of , though it's less likely. By "cooler," I mean temperatures in the 60's so you would want a sweater, a sweathsirt, or a light jacket if you go out on deck.

Have a great cruise!

Norm.

I would much rather cruise in February (from a southern port) than during the summer or early fall. The weather is nice without being blistering hot especially if you cruise out of Galveston, TX. You might need a light sweater or jacket the first day as suggested, but don't forget those shorts because you'll probably need them. Also, the seas are much calmer than during hurricane season.
