Default Re: Sail Away

I, too, am a new cruiser. I am reading all the posts and learning a lot.
I can understand the party with carribean music if you are going to those kinds of ports.
What can I expect on a cruise to Alaska? (July 16th, Sun Princess)
Do you just make your way up to that deck around the departure time?
Thanks for all the info.

A snow cone machine sounds fun! What a great idea - makes sense for a "cold/cool cruise!"

Default SAIL AWAY

I REALLY HAD NOT GIVEN ANY THOUGHT TO SAIL AWAY (ALASKA) BUT NOW GMANN HAS PEAKED MY INTEREST IN THIS EVENT.

I HAVE BEEN ON CARRIBEAN CRUISE AND DID ENJOY THE MUSIC, STEEL DRUM AND ALL, BUT I'M GOING TO ASK THE SAME QUESTION.
WHAT ABOUT AN ALASKAN CRUISE? ( POINT TAKEN REGARDING THE SNOW CONE MACHINE, THATS COOL TOO.) WE ARE ON THE DIAMOND PRINCESS OUT OF VANCOUVER IN SEPTEMBER.
MAYBE THEY HAVE SOMEONE PLAYING "NORTH TO ALASKA",OR "SHES AS COLD AS ICE", OR "I LOVE A HUSKY MAN" OR "I LOVE A HUSKY MAN THAT LOVES A HUSKY". O.K, O.K., I'LL STOP.

SERIOUSLY,SOME OF YOU ALASKAN CRUISERS. WHAT WAS YOUR ALASKAN SAIL AWAY LIKE?
