Default CP= Caribbean Princess??

Wondering why everybody refers to the Caribbean Princess as CP?

Unfortunately, the initials are not unique. There's also MV Coral Princess and MV Crown Princess in the present fleet. Thus, your laziness is a source of potential confusion.

CB is actually the Caribbean Princess

Here is a list of the official designations from Princess

* CB - Caribbean Princess
* CO - Coral Princess
* KP - Crown Princess
* DP - Dawn Princess
* DI - Diamond Princess
* NP - Golden Princess
* AP - Grand Princess
* IP - Island Princess
* PA - Pacific Princess
* GP - Regal Princess
* SA - Sapphire Princess
* CP - Sea Princess
* TP - Star Princess
* SP - Sun Princess
* TA - Tahitian Princess

Good point! I had forgotten that MV Sea Princess got CP because MV Sun Princess already had SP in Princess's official designation! Of course, this just makes the confusion introducecd by some members' laziness even worse.

Really, we do ourselves a collective favor by spelling out the names of all ships. Shorthand can only cause confusion and many CruiseMates are not sufficiently seasoned to recognize the lines' abbreviaittions.
