Hi there,

Yes we're on her, seems like years since we booked it, now we're into the final countdown & really looking forward to it.

As you may see from our profile, we live just outside Southampton, so cruising is our first choice when it comes to vacations.

It's our 18th wedding anniversary & Katrina's 40th birthday whilst we are on board, so we're hoping that it's going to all be very special.

We've got a few plans on places to visit ourselves whilst in the Med, such as Rome, Pisa & Barcelona, and have booked official tours in Palma and Sardinia. 8)

Hopefully we'll get the chance to chat with you before sailing & meet up once on board. We've done most of the ports before & know the ship quite well, so if you have any questions, just ask.

Have a great flight over,

Alan & Katrina

We are coming from Hertfordshire, so only have a short drive down. We are cruising to celebrate our honeymoon, we got married in March and this is the first opportunity to get away!
We are looking at booking the Rome and Florence on your own trips, but we are going to do all the other ports without trips - obetween us we've visited most of the places before, but this will be my husbands 1st cruise. Have you done the Rome and Florence trips before? Are the trips the best way to get to the cities?

Hi again,

Firstly congratulations on the wedding, hope you both had a fantastic day.

Both Florence & Rome are very easy to get to using the Italian trains. Florence goes via Pisa, and the station is a couple of miles away from the drop off point, but Rome is very quick & easy. The train stops in 5 places around Rome, the first being for the Vatican, the last being in the centre of the city.

The prices of these very clean & comfortable trains is a fraction of the tours costs (e.g. Roma €4.10e/w), so if you are planning on doing "on your own" tours, we would certainly suggest you consider the trains.

The Italian train site is http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html, and gives times & costs, etc. Note though, the ES (€8.62e/w) & IC (€7.97e/w) trains are slightly more expensive

Hope this helps, speak soon

Katrina & Alan
