Welcome to CruiseMates! And congratulations on your first cruise. It is a truly exciting time! I've stayed at the AmeriSuites in FLL. We had a good experience with the stay.

Congrats ! You'll love th Star Princess, have sailed on her 2 times and scheduled again in October for Canada / New England.

The AmerSuites is fine to stay, rooms very nice.

Enjoy the planning process and remember, ask any questions, you'll get a response from the group here.

The Star Princess is a beautiful ship. We went last fall just ahead of Hurricane Wilma. You will enjoy your cruise very much.

I am booked for the Star on Dec. 23 2006 and I live in a bit west of Fort Lauderdale about 20 minutes away and your Amerisuites is very convinient in relation to the Port my advice is get to the ship as early as u can that way you can enjoy the ship during the day and get settled in and you also don't have to wait an hour or two to check in, on Princess it can get a bit hecktic, where is your cruise sailing to, but you did choose the correct Cruise Line to sail no other beats Princess
