Speaking as an observer since I don't have children of my own, it seems to work way too well. I have witnessed a few tugs of war between children who wanted to go back to the program and parents who wanted those same children to get ready for dinner, or to do whatever else was on their agenda. I also remember going to entrance to the dining room for a tour of the galley toward teh end of a cruise and watching a parade of perhaps a hundred cruisers who appeared to be under the age of six, whom I had not seen all cruise, come streaming out of the dining room under the watchful tutelage of the counsellors.

And I have never heard anybody -- parent or child -- say anything negative about the program, even on ships that did not have dedicated chidren's ceenters.

Hi gorden123,

I agree with Norm! We don't have young children, but on both of our Princess cruises we met other people (from CM's and the "other" site) who do.

They had to practically drag their children out of the programs just to have dinner with them !

I'd rate Princess' children's programs a 10+!

I wish I was a "kid" again so I could enjoy the programs !

My kids loved it on their last cruise, when they were aged 17, 14, and 8. I was surprised they managed to hold the 17-yr old's attention.

Wow ! Thanks so much for this info, this really helps as it was a deciding factor on whether or not we should take the kids along with us.
