Need help deciding how to book cruise on Star Princess 3/10
I am a first time cruiser. I am 43 and I am taking my 20 y/o daughter
on our first cruise. I don't know if it is better to book the airfare with
the cruise line (who help you if your flight is delayed) or whether I
should book the flights separately with a cheaper price? All the prices
are about the same online and with Princess. Would like some advise as
well as any comments about the Star Princess. Thanks, Nancy
You can save a lot (and I mean alot) by booking the flight on your own.
For our next cruise Princess wants $1750 pp. I got first class for less than that through an online broker.

I have used the cruise line's air fare in the past but the next cruise I have booked I'm going to make my own arrangements because I'm going in a few days early so a late flight won't matter and I can get a cheaper flight on line than what they quoted me.
9 times out of 10 you can do better booking you flights separately.
The flights that the cruise lines usually use are junk routes, you can be going all over the place with multiple stop-overs.
Fly in the day before if you can, so much easier and less stressfull
