Default Hotels in Ft. Lauderdale precruise - June 29

Anyone have any opinions on where to stay in Ft. Lauderdale prior to my embarkation on July 1st? We're going to fly down early and not sure about what hotel is the better option to stay at...

thx guys

Sleep Inn in Dania is moderately priced, clean and well appointed with a good free breakfast, free transportation from the airport and to the port. There is a Publix supermarket and a Walgreens Drug store adjacent and several restraunts adjacent too, Just beware of the man-eating iguana that sunbathes at the pool.

Default Pre Cruise Ft Lauderdale Jan 06

We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Dania in January. The room was clean and the Airport and Cruise port transportation worked very well. There are a couple of restaraunts close by and the free breakfast was OK. Overall for the price we were happy with the facility. It was only about half of the price of units on 17th street heading to the cruise port.

the AmeriSuites is a good hotel. Holiday Inn Express is neat, and clean, minimal ammenities, may not have a pool.
