Default South America Cape Horn cruise

I am thinking about booking the cruise from Buenos Aires - Santiago and was wondering if anyone can tell me how the chilean fjords compare to the Alaskan glaciers. Thanks so much!

Don't know yet. We fly tomorrow for SCL. Sail on Saturday on the Golden.

Let you know when we get back.

Did this itinerery a couple of years ago and all I can say is be prepared. The Chilean fjords are gorgeous. I loved seeing Glacier Bay and it too is gorgeous. You have to really see both to make any comparison. They are both so pretty, yet a little different. Have a great cruise.

Hi, ditto on beautiful . Found southern Chile a bit more like Norway
than Alaska but both are great in different ways. Can be a little cold
way down south. Have fun and a great cruise.

Thanks for the information. I have also been to Alaska and loved Glacier Bay and have really been thinking about going to Chile on a cruise possibly in about a few years. I just got back from the Panama Canal Cruise and next year in 2008 probably going to go on the Crown Princess to the Southern Caribbean.
