Default Which deck is best for a balcony?

We are booking a balcony room and have read posts that mention that some balconies are "covered" and some are larger than other. Can someone make me usnderstand this better? We are possibly looking at Baja Deck. Is this a good deck? Does it get any sun? Any help please. Thanks

Default Which Deck is Best for Balcony

I too, am interested in this question.
We had a balcony (mini-suite Dolphin deck-Diamond Princess) and it rained 2-3-days of our cruise. The Dolphin Deck balconys are totally uncovered. We stood on our deck with umbrellas . The decks were good size, but holding an unbrella and trying to film at the same time was a little difficult.

We are thinking of the Caribe Deck, either a balcony stateroom or one of the suites in the 400 section-PH catagory (Sapphire Princess-AK '08)

Baja deck have standard balcony cabins, and they are covered.

The larger, partially covered/partially open balcony cabins are on Caribe deck.

Default Balcony rooms ?

Just got off the Caribbean Princess this last Janurary. As far as sun on the balcony goes, that depends on the time of day and the way the ship is traveling, but you will get your share. We were on Baja deck midship, and we could see onto the balconys below us on C,D. But they could not look onto our balcony. It should have a small table and two chairs. A & B decks have the smallest of the balconys, but a good view. Hope this helped, and have a good trip
