Anyone else out there feel kinda cheated since you download your own docs now? Seemed a little less exciting when I got a package with the luggage tags but instructions on how to download and complete info online. But still very much looking forward to our 1st cruise to Alaska!!!
Carnival Splendor (3 days of towing back to port)
Actually, we like the convenience of printing our "boarding passes" and other travel documents at home. It's nice to know we can have them in hand withing a few days of having our final payment posted to our accounts.
Princess sent our luggage tags via snail mail with our pre-cruise document packet.

BrwnEyedGirl: when you return, please let everyone know how you enjoyed your 1st cruise to Alaska. We're heading that way in September. It will be our first time on the Golden. We booked a balcony room on the Caribe deck. Happy sailing!
At least Princess tells you that you download your docs.
Last year we went on NCL and they said that they would be mailed. 20 day before the cruise we called and said that they haven't arrived yet and they said that they had just been mailed. 10 days before, nothing. Called again and they said that they are in the mail. 8 days before, nothing. Called again and they finally said to download them. It was easy after they got their story strait. Nothings worse than getting close and having nothing to look at.

Yes having Mainly ..Luggage Tags arriving in a DHL Courier pack is really a Waste of Money..I think IMHO.
They also had an UpSell and a PrePaid US MAIL #10 Envelope it also..
Downloading is Fine but why waste our monies on the DHL ...stuffing...
I think Princess is inconsistent. We got ours via regular USPS Mail. The docs looked like they came directly from Princess not our TA. Actually, all the people in our group like getting the all that extra material in addition to the luggage tags. Some don't have access to the internet, so for them much of the info was new! Those of us that do have access, completed their Passenger Immigration Forms and printed their boarding passes for them. We also got a Cruise Answer Book which I know you can access and print on-line, but it was nice to get a real book.
I also liked printing the boarding passes. Reminded me of how easy it is to fly now-a-days (in terms of paper and e-tickets, security is a whole different story!). As soon as the luggage tags arrived, we then had everything we needed.
