These are older but very pretty "smaller" by today's standards, ships.
Not much to say, Princess all the way. Being older & smaller don't expect the same amount of onboard actvities of a larger ship. They can be relatively quiet after dinner and the show. You will have a nice, relaxing cruise.
I am the editor, but I also speculate, ask questions and play devil's advocate. I reserve the right to change my mind.
Carnival Spirit??? Did I miss something? My screen says Princess.
Anyway Carnival Spirit, Mexican Riv. Great cruise, did the 8 day out of San Diego this past Feb. I was told by some dyed in the wool HAL fans that I maybe would not like Carnival. I loved it. There was so much more good entertainment than on the HAL Oosterdam. Downside was the service was not as good, nor was the food. Very ordinary buffet. no room service that included the full dining, but they did not charge a corkage for all the wine I brought to the dining room. Great beds and linen like on HAL, the balcony rooms are roomy and lots of desk and shelf space.
My answer to those asking for a comparison is that i like them all however if one asks a specific question such as who has the best service then will give an opinion and that is all it is.Many of your comments in the above posting would probably lean metoward Holland.Having cruised since the late 50,s, have seen many changes and have tried all the main line cruises and can find something nice about all of them Sure beats staying at home.Do not stay with only one cruise line as you have nothing to compare and I can honestly say that each line has their strong points and should get your consideration.
