Default Mini Suite Size?

We are planning a cruise in January to the caribbean, Our last cruise we booked a inside on the Diamond with 2 kids and it was very tight for room. We have also had a balcony room on the Dawn on another cruise with out the kids.

My question is how much bigger are the Mini Suites than a regular room?

Second question if anyone has sailed in a Mini Suite on Carnival and Princess which had more room?

Rick

Carnival Category 11 are considered suites, and they are quite large, except on all the Fascination Class ships. They really don't have mini suites.

Princess mini suites size depends on the ship. On the Sun Class (which includes the Dawn) the Mini suites are quite big (and really nice). On the Grand Class including the Diamond, they are nice cabins, but not particularly large.

Aboard all ships that Princess built in the current decade, including MV Diamond Princess, minisuites on all of are perhaps 20% to 25% larger than a standard balcony cabin. Basically, they have a seating (lounge) area partally separated from the bedroom.

I can't answer your second question because I have not cruised on Carnival.

Norm.
