We have always taken our cruise down to Mexico around the 3 week in Oct and until last year, 1st time we had a port change, had no problems.

We went in the middle of October last year. The week before and the week after there were tropical depressions or storms. Mexico doesn't get a lot of storms that actually hit shore. They tend to come close and then turn northwest or break apart. You shouid be safe.

It did rain while we were in Acupulco though. The locals said that it had been raining for almost 2 weeks. If you are going, you should think about a umbrella or poncho. NCL offered cheap ponchos for a dollar or $2 but they ran out quickly.

Even with the storms that came before and the one that was coming the seas were very smooth.

The hurricane season is officially from June through November, with August and September being the peak, in all of the northern tropics.

That said, hurricanes are a lot less prevalent in the eastern Pacific than in the Caribbean so disruptions to cruises are pretty rare.

BTW, there's really no need to SHOUT at us. In fact, most people listen more closely if you speak in a normal voice, like this!

Norm.
