You definitely will see some new aspects and would suggest movie under the stars,Sabbatini alternative restaurant make reservation as soon as you get on the ship,First nite seafood extravaganza in the horizon buffet,champagne pyramid the second formal nite in the atrium at 11:30 pm If you like an excellent steak consider the other alternative restaurant.You may want to try any time dining which is different than Carnival.Think you will also like the number of pools available and especially the one in the aft section.
I too like the fact that Princess is pool friendly and uses fresh water. Plus they don't close the pools at night, where Carnival drains them around 6-7pm. Princess also offers hamburgers and hot dogs for room service. (At least the last one I was on.) One thing I really missed on Princess that Carnival offers though is the free soft serve ice cream machines and I thought Carnival had better pizza.

You picked a great ship! We loved the Caribbean Princess so much we are going again! I loved the movies under the stars, and also the movies while swimming in the pool, or just lounging in the shallow water area around the edge. But the best part of our CP cruise was definately entertainer/pianist Bert Stratton. Don't miss his nightly shows in the area outside the Explorer's Lounge!
Will answer my own question and that is Bert Stratton will be back on CB June10-Sept9.He has his own web site and fan club.In my opinion he is one of the best entertainers on any cruise ship and many have returned to CB just to hear him He plays every nite to a standing room only crowd even when they move him into one of the lounges.
Movies under the stars is a unique feature for Princess. They also show videotaped music concerts at night (Jimmy Buffet, Paul Simon, etc).

Enjoy Bert while he's still there. He is building a home in Nashville and will move there in 2009. I'm hoping he will still be onboard when I go back in May 08.!

On the CB the pools are open later than Carnival. They close at midnight except for the pool where MUTS is. That pool closes at 5:30pm.
This ship is one of my favorites!! Go to Movies under the stars as well as the champagnbe art auctions, try some of the dance classes, the instructors are really good, as well as they have a Piano Man night entertainment twice I beleive he is really good. Also, sometimes depending on the crowd check out Princess Pop Star a lot like American Idol over in Club Fusion... Princess is great you will love it! L
