"Smart casual" on Caribbean Princess

I will finally be taking a cruise. So many people reccomend it, I finally gave in.
As far as dress code, I am fully aware of formal nights and I have no problem wearing a suit and tie, but as for the other nights, what do people tend to wear? I am usually comfortable going out at night with a pair of clean, neat jeans, a button down shirt and shoes. Would that fall under "smart casual"? Or should i stick with dress slacks?

Jeans are not allowed in the dining room for diner. Breakfast and lunch, it is OK.

Slacks and shirt will do nicely.

I have to say you picked a great ship for your 1st cruise. We loved her so much, we booked her again!
As for your question, any kind of comfortable slacks, and nice shirt are fine in the dining room. Enjoy your cruise!
