For Elite members, how does the one-time free mini-bar work? Do they stock it only with items of your choosing? When something removed, do they replenish right away, check it daily and charge you accordingly? Ever get charged when you should not have been?

The free mini bar is a one time only - you drink it, it's not replinished ... as to what's stocked - have no idea - suggest you call Customer Service and see if you can order what you prefer.

The Princess miinibar is the weak link of the system. Ours always contained a conglomeration of whiskeys and cans nobody could drink. Room service only offers what they have, but they will change what they can. Forget scotch or any premium whiskey. Also, forget "cruise personalizer", it's a joke.
Wish I had a better report........

Our experience on Princess with the one-time free mini-bar was that you can request your room steward to replace any items that you did not want with something that you liked. If you were rum & coke drinkers, then just ask to have everything replaced with botttles of rum and cans of coke.
Hope this helps.

I'm hoping my experience is like Debra's and I can have it stocked with cokes and maybe rum or bourbon. The brand doesn't really matter to me as I'm not much of a drinker but I do love the freebies!

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DRINK EVERYWHERE FOR FREE ON THE SHIP TRY SILVERSEAS DRINKS EVERYWHERE ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR CRUISE ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS BRING A SPARE LIVER OR TWO.
For two people, they only leave about a half dozen airline bottles plus a couple beers and some setups. Not enough to plan your cruise around, although if you ask they will replace whatever booze you don't care for. It's much easier to simply throw a fifth of whatever you like in your bag than to spend your time worrying about this stuff.
We are presently on the Crown and our mini-bar had 2 Dos Equixs, 2 cokes, 2 sprites, 2 perriers, 2 tonics and 8 mini bottles of 4 different liqours. The can be replinished for a small price. We also received 1 bottle of champagne. Hope this helps.

Thank you Teresa. I thought the only way we could enjoy a drink in our cabin was to smuggle it in. Guess not! Thanks
Don't get too excited yet. That setup is for full SUITE cabins and Elite members.
Do you fit in one of those categories? If not, it is smuggle time.

We just came off of Grand Princess, when we got to our stateroom, the bar was set up with 2 x Beefeater Gin, 2 x Courvoisier Cognac, 2 x Smirnoff Vodka and 2 x Bells Whisky - we switch all of these for 8 x Beefeater Gins by calling Room Service, no problems.
Also,
2 cans of MGD, 2 small bottles of Perrier, 2 small bottles of still water.
Also,
2 x Coke, 2 x Sprite & 2 x Tonic, all of which we changed for Coke Lite
Hope this helps,
Alan & Katrina

To reiterate, the free booze is only given to Elite (top level of Captain's Circle) and full suite (not mini-suite) passengers.
There is a place on the online profile for you to specify what booze and soft drinks you prefer, but I don't think anybody ever looks at it. In our experience, it's always been a random selection.
Again, the free liquor is NOT given to everyone, and for the most part isn't enough or the right kind to make much difference in what you might choose to bring aboard.
