Default Service - Carnival vs Princess

This will be my first Princess Cruise (10-5-08) after 18 cruises with Carnival. Can anyone attest to the service received? I have always received outstanding service on Carnival, whether it was poolside or room service. Do they pamper you as well on this cruise line? Thanks and happy cruising. 8)

In general, service on cruise ships is wonderful. They pride themselves on pampering their passengers..I have has service issues a few times, on 2 lines that tout their service.

In each case I attributed it to the waiters, and stewards "we" had, and noticed that others were quite happy in the dining room, with "their" staff and they had no cabin issues, as we did. Most work hard and aim to please, a they do it with a smile.

I would say, Princess service on our 3 cruises was quite good. Enjoy, you will be pleased.

Trip, with her book & tea!

I have only cruised once on both lines, but I personally think Princess is slightly better.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other. I'm Platinum on both lines, and think that you'll find service excellent of both. No problems!
Have a GREAT cruise.

I've only been on 1 Carnival cruise (4-night, will be taking our 4th on Princess.

Answers to these types of questions are so subjective and are contingent on many changing variables (staff, weather, personal preferences of passengers, moods of everyone on board at any given minute, experiences with shore excursions, etc.).

Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. If you like the itinerary, go, make it a wonderful time for yourself, smile and count your blessings that you are fortunate enough to be having such an experience.

Have a wonderful cruise!
