Default Crown Princess

Hello to all,

My wife and I booked a cruise on the Crown Princess for the Eastern Caribbean sailing out of Ft. Lauderdaleon May 10, 2009. We were given cabin K-P330, which I understand is on the plaza deck. It looks like a pretty good location, is anyone familiar with this area? Any "Special" recomendations for Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St Thomas and Grand Turk? Shopping, places to see etc. Thanks

You can snorkel on St, John, a ferry ride from the ship in St Thomas, and then shop later in the day..Megans Bay is a beautiful beach too

St Maarten, is French & Dutch...a nice bus tour will take you to both sides to get the lay of the land....Also Dawn & Orient[partially nude] beaches are a cab ride away...great shopping on the Dutch side. $$ on the French side.

Turks, I have yet to visit, but really want to..Margarittaville has a huge pool area, close to the ocean...food and drinks, for the hot hot weather;)

Do a google for tourism bureaus for each island and get ready to enjoy. all the things you can see and do in each port...enjoy!

Trip, with her book & tea!

We were just on the Crown last week and loved it so much that we also booked Ft Lauderdale itinerary for next Jan.

Re those ports, have been to St Thomas and St Maarten and love both. Both are good for shopping, especially jewellery. Magen's Bay in St T is beautiful and Sunset Beach in St M is fun to watch planes flying close overhead. Both have bars and facilities and are about 20 min taxi ride.

We went to St. Thomas last year and are going again for our upcoming cruise. Last year we took a generic tour of St. Thomas but this time we are taking the ferry to St. John. People talk about how beautiful it is there and I can't wait to see it.

In Grand Turk, if you want to avoid that whole Margaritaville, take a 10 minute cab ride to Bohio Dive Resort. It's SO pretty, SO peaceful...we LOVED it!
