Default Tahitian Princess

Hi!
We are thinking of doing the 14 day Alaska cruise on this ship to celebrate retirement and 35th Anniversary. We have sailed several times on the Sun class ships so this will be a new experience.

Although we are fairly friendly and sociable, we really prefer to be by ourselves while eating. There is no "anytime dining" on the Tahitian which is fine- we like the formal dining times. Is there any way at all to guarantee- or anyone to book through that can guarantee- a table for two with only the advanced reserved seating available?

Also, are the balconies fairly private or can they be seen from other balconies?

Are the pool and "hot tubs" open 24 hours a day as on other Princess ships?

Any other info or opinions on this ship would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Your travel agent can request a table for two. There's no guarantee that the maitre d'hotel will be able to fulfill everybody's requests when he makes out the initial assignment, but you can always see the maitre d'hotel to request a change if your initial assignment is unsatisfactory. In most cases, they are pretty successful in sorting it out by about the second or third night.

All of the balconies except the balconies on the forward and aft cabins are flush with the side of the vessel, so they are not visible from elsewhere on the ship. They are visible from other ships, though.

MV Tahitian Princess is one great little ship! She offers pretty much everything that you expect from Princess, but on a smaller scale. For more information, see my post in the thread about MV Royal Princess.

Norm.
