Default Obstucted Views a problem?

We are considering Princess cruises over our usual RCI for this fall.We usually have an interior room but would like to have an oceanview this time. On the Crown Princess what exactly are the obstructed views all about? obstructed by what? can anyone give me a few good room #s that are recommended?

They are obstucted by the life savings boats, I had an obstucted view on the Caribbean Princess, but still could see outside, because I had one of the small ones in front of my window. When I booked it was cheaper than an inside, but if there is a big difference in price I will take the inside.

you also have a choice between partially obstructed and fully obstructed views, the difference- partially obstructed means the lifeboat is hanging down just a bit in fron of your window, fully obstructed means that you look out your window and see about half the lifeboat.

Once you have a view you cn never go back to inside! And once you have a balcony you can never go back to ocean view sigh! But both are worth the added expense in my HO.
