Default First Cruise

My wife and I are booked on Crown Princess March 22, 2008 for our 30th
anniversery. This is the first cruise for each of us, we are in our early
50's. I need some info: Is there some place to purchase booze in San Juan
near where we board and will there give me any problems getting on the ship with it ?

I have been reading lots of reviews and don't know what to expect.
Also what are the best shore excursions. I have booked some, not sure
wheather to take or not. My wife wants to ship about 1/2 of each day.

If not mistaken, you will board at the same terminal as Carnival Destiny. In that case, right before you go through security to board the ship, you will find a liqour shop with VERY cheap prices and you can buy as many as you want, as long as they fit in your carry on.

Wanted to go on this particular cruise, but American Eagle is charging me Usd 850 for 2 persons from Aruba to San Juan.

We sailed the Crown last spring and yes you can buy liquor in the duty free store on the way to the ship. Be sure to put in your carry on. If you carry it in the store bag it will be confiscated. They also offer an air padded cover for approx $3. This works well for air travel home. Don't get me wrong, I bought drinks on board. It was nice to have cocktails in your room though. If you are going to St. Martin on your itineray they had the best price on liquor in the Caribbean. 8)
