Default RCCL (Explorer) versus Princess (Caribbean) LATELY?

Frequent cruisers on RCCL-although have been on NCL, Cunard, Princess. We are looking for a cruise in the Caribbean in June 2009 (choices limited). Explorer (RCCL) versus Caribbean Princess? We were on Explorer in 2005, seemed a tad rundown (upholstery, etc.). Anybody been on either/both of these lately? Your opinion? Thanks!

Just went on Explorer of the seas May 9, 2008. Great ship they have new beds and the best sheets very comfy. I didn't see any signs of any real wear. I'm sure they have did alot since you last cruised.
