Default Brooklyn Port - ANyone have tips?

Has anyone gone out of there? I am debating on driving or taking train.
I also am thinking about staying a day or two later - any hotel suggestions in NY?

We stayed at the Hampton Inn across from the Gershwin and it was a great location to see the city. Grayline was just down the street for tours. We took a private car to the Brooklyn dock and back to the hotel - you can email me if you want his #. It was only about $40 but probably a little more now because of the gas situation. He was timely and was waiting for us upon our return.

Jackie,

I'm on wait list for this same cruise out of NYC on June 4th. Do you know anyone that is looking for a roomate on this cruise? I would be very intersted in sharing cost with someone if they are already book. I'm a 43 professional lady, that is very easy going and not in the cabin much except to sleep.
