Don't know which cruise it is or what the itinerary is or if it is back to back. We did 14 days on the Crown last spring. It was two seven day cruises back to back, one southern Carib. the other eastern Carib. San Juan twice. It was great.
Landlocked in Denver, but cruisin every chance we get.

My wife and I are booked on a 14 day Grand Princess to the Carribean in Jan/Feb09. This will be my third Carribbean cruise the other two 10 days. This is my first with the Grand. I love the Carribean cruises especially at that time the weather is normally good and you seem to have such variety in comparrison to the Western cruises. You are right the 7 day cruises seem to go way to quickly. I found the 10 day cruises just right, but thought lets try 14 days and see how it goes. If anything you will be relaxed. I don't book excursions from the ship, if we want to do an Island tour we walk away from the dock area and talk to tour guides and I have so far had nothing but excellent service for cheaper prices. Again I think a good cruise has lots to do with the ship, crew and service, I hope we have that on this 14 day cruise because without it could be a long cruise. I am not hard to please so hopefully it will be good.

14 Days on the ocean
I have been on a 10-day cruise, wonderful, I have also taken back to back 7 day cruises, Princess will provide a free hotel room on back to back cruises.
Always confirm the room prior to booking and ducument the conversation.
I am taking another 7-day back to back this January 2009.
The pros with a 14 day cruise.
1) Fuel surcharge is limited.
2) Only one life boat drill.
3) Don't need to disembark and embark for second cruise and go through security, immigration and customs.
Pros with back to back 7-day cruises
1) Experiance two ships
2) Free motel/hotel on Princess between cruises.
3) Different entertainers onboard ship.
