my husband and i are cruising on the princess cruise line for the first time this fall. we will be on the crown prineess. i was wondering about a few things....i have been reading about how terrible the food has been--maybe those were old postings, has anyone been on the crown recently...has the food improved?
for speciality dining--would you choose sabatini's or the crown grill? do either of them have outdoor seating?
any suggestions for shore excursions at grand turk or st. maarten?
what is the best spa treatment? i wanted to go ahead and reserve that soon--is there any type of facial/massage combo?
also, should we be worried about the weather in october?
i'm sure i'll have more questions to bombard everyone with, but thanks for taking the time to help me out!!
i am so excited and can't wait, but i hope we chose the best!
We were on the Crown princess for two weeks last March. It is a wonderful, beautiful ship, enjoyable in every way The food wasn't 'terrible' at all -- it just wasn't as good as it should have been. This is not a problem isolated to the Crown princess, it seems to be making its way throughout the industry.
The food in both specialty restaurants is excellent There may be some outside seating at Sabatini's, I'm not sure.
Check out the Crooners Lounge as a great place for people watching.
re the weather -- who can say, in October still the chance of rough weather, but it's unlikely and if so, the captain will probably adjust the itinerary.
You are in for a great cruise
