Default HAWAII IN MARCH

We are going on the Golden in March and was wondering what kind of weather we would encounter on the sea days. Since there are 8 sea days I want to be prepared.

Any help will be appreciated.

We've been twice, both in early April. A couple of the sea days are windy, and somewhat choppy ocean, but nothing to worry about.

I've heard that the tradewinds make it like that.

We've done it twice, and we're going back.

Have a good trip !

Pat

Do you remember anything about the temperatures? Is it too cold to lay out by the pool?

Thanks!

I'm not exactly certain of this because we aren't pool people, but if I remember correctly, there were alot of pool days.

In fact, I do remember trying to find a poolside table for lunch, so I am confident that you will be able to lay out.

However, there were 1 or 2 days of cloudy weather.

I am excited for you.

Kathy~~I notice that you are sailing on the Sea Princess soon.

I am thinking of sailing her to Alaska---assuming she doesn't get deployed elsewhere.

Would you let me know what you think of her ?

Thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat:

I will absolutely contact you as soon as we get back. Is there anything in particular you want me to check out for you? Let me know.

Thanks Kathy~~We are "foodies", so dining room food is something we would be interested in.

Also, balcony or mini-suite cabins, if you can, ---Lido problems and crew friendliness.

That's pretty much it. Mike does like the evening shows.

Have a fun cruise !

Pat

No Problem Pat - We are staying in a mini C-747. I will take tons of pictures for you. The AFT cabins are great for Alaska - We thoroughly enjoyed ours on the Diamond - We were in B753 both times.

I will give you a full dining report when I get back. We too like FOOD - I always try to lose at least 10 pounds prior to every cruise just so I don't have to think about weight gain while I'm away : )

Thanks ! Can you tell I am a "Lurker" ? I cruise vicariously.

We've never sailed Princess before. By cabin "C", I assume that means Caribe ? So "B" would be Baja ?

Baja mini's have partially covered balconies, and Caribe have fully covered ???

We LOVE Hawaii. By now, all the vog (volcano fog) should be gone, so you will be able to see the volcano lava at night.

Bon Voyage.

Pat

Yes - Baja is partially covered and Caribe is completely covered. At least they are AFT. Not sure about the others. I'm really looking forward to the cruise to Hawaii. Although I'm a bit freaked out over all those sea days. The most I have ever done is 2 sea days in a row. lol

I will contact you as soon as I return from the Sea Princess!

Baja has completely covered balconies, Caribe has half-covered balconies and mini-suite balconies.

The Golden is a great ship! We'd love to sail it to Hawaii!
