Default carrying wine onboard

We are celebrating my birthday onboard and understand we can carry two bottles of wine on in our carry on luggage. We had a problem on RCCL in April and would rather not have a repeat. Does it have to be 750 ml bottles or can you take on a larger bottle of Champagne. Didn't think I would need this kind of info. after 40 plus cruises but times have changed.

Here's the link for the Cruise Answer Book.

http://www.princess.com/downloads/zi...nswer_Book.pdf

Reference page 24 Alcohol Policy....1 bottle per person, no size specified.

I took the chance and bought wine in various ports and had no trouble carrying them on in my beach bag....they even went through the scanner and nobody mentioned a thing. No biggie if they did confiscate it until the end of the cruise....but, it was nice being able to enjoy a glass of wine or two on the balcony at night.

Valtine,
If you look at the Princess Cruises Passage Contract, number 5.
It will tell you about alcoholic beverages.

Have a good trip.

There's never a problem with bringing aboard wine & I've never had a problem bringing a small bottle of after dinner Liquor either.

Only Royal and NCL are stricked about it. If you take 2 suitcases each put 1 in each suitcase and each carry 1 on, that gives you 6!

Princess and Holland America have greatly relaxed their alcohol policies and you are allowed to bring wine, champagne or even beer on board upon embarkation and with Princess, through my own experience, in every port. (we only bought 1 bottle for each of us in each port)

They busted underaged kids with beer in their pockets (not the brightest kids since they were going through a metal detector) in St Thomas and they have the desk there for any hard liquor purchased but don't forget if you bring a magnum or larger, you will need to chill it and it may not fit into the fridge!

Don't forget an decent opener in your checked baggage.
