Default Soda on the Princess

Hi everyone,

We're sailing over Christmas on the Emerald, and would like to know if anyone has information on soda, specifically, will they fill your own drink cup (if you bring your own mug on board)? Last year we sailed on NCL (Jewel) and they sold a soda cup that you could have refilled, or, in the alternative, they filled small plastic cups of soda. This was frustrating as you could only order one at a time and you finishe it by the time the waiter/waitress left the table. Does anyone know if you can bring your own plastic cup and will they fill it if you have a soda card?

Thank you so much!!!

Alison

Please...can't anyone answer this question? Certainly I can't be the first one who has thought to bring their own mug for soda. Any help and/or information would be greatly appreciated.

I have never sailed on Princess but I don't see why they wouldn't.

I think you can have anything filled as long as you have your soda card. When my husband would leave his cup in the room he could get a glass of soda as long as he had his card.

I believe Princess only does the insolated mug with the sticker as mentioned. You pay around $30.00 an get it refilled as you want it. Without that sticker, you could be getting free drinks for someone else so they want to see the mug.

RCI does the mug also. On my Princess cruises I was never asked to show the mug and was served without question, glasses provided from the bars were large.

Your right. I just asked my wife and she reminded me that they put the sticker on the room key card, not the mug. We showed the card and they filled up very large plastic cups. My memory is fading fast...tee hee

Default Thank you for the feedback!

We would like to bring our own (larger than large glass/insulated mug) mugs. It just seems when you are thirsty, you can drink down what they bring fast, and then you have to wait for the waiter/waitress to return to take another order. If we brought a larger mug (of course with the soda sticker on our card) we are hopeful that they will fill it.

You can take it to any bar and get it refilled almost instatntly. then you can leave the big clunky thing home

PS, I see you are from Colorado too. Wish we were going with you to get out of this cold! We are going to Maui for a few weeks in February though.
Have a great cruise.

Along the same lines what beverages are served in the Horizon Deck Buffet? Just water and cofee or are there punches or juice?
