Default Sapphire/DiamondPrincess Cabin Info

Hello Cruisemates: I'd appreciate cabin info from anyone who sailed in cabin 735 Emerald Deck on the Sapphire or Diamond Princess. We wonder how an aft location would be. Also, would the balcony be open or partially covered?

Try going into the Princess web site and looking at the deck plans. You can also tell what's directly above and below you and if there is any kind of obstruction.

Thanks, Donna. I checked out the website and see there is a large void the deck above us and on our deck. Looks like a night club below us. Maybe this isn't such a good pick after all.

There are cabins above you and Club Fusion below you.

That cabin should be completely covered.

Hi there

I have just come back from the Diamond and looking at the plan I can only see a double void at the front of the ship..not the back??

the void at the front is the theatre and my daugters were over this and heard nothing at all in the way of noise

and yes.they were in bed early enough to notice!!

Emerald is lvl 8 and under the back is club fusion so yuo may get some heavy beat noises.

hope this helps

Thanks for your input, Cruisemates. We've decided not to book a cabin over Club Fusion, but closer to mid-ship. Now that that's been decided, I am so ready to cruise!

We traveled on the Diamond Princess in August of 2006 and loved it. There were fourteen of us in our group. One couple had a "fan tail" balcony cabin. The balcony is huge and the view is unbelievable. We did a "cabin crawl" party on the last full day with our group visiting each others cabins for cocktails and snacks. The aft cabin balcony was the only one that would hold all 14 of us.

As a note though, friends of ours just came back from a Mexico cruise on the Sapphire and were very disapointed with the service onboard. It seems that staff has been cut to save money.
