Default Grand Princess rooms to avoid

Rooms E731, E732, D735 and D734 are all situated beside the main A/C units for the rear of the ship. The noise in the halls leading up to the rooms is very bad, the noise in the rooms is no better. The rooms are also very small, although quite expensive... rear facing balcony. You have about 30 square feet of space to manouver in, and no arm chairs or other seating arrangements.
The chief engineer stood in our room and couldn't believe the noise... he said they should never allow a design that puts rooms this close to the racket of the fans and machines next door.
Room change? forget it.. I called the pursers desk within a minute of walking into my room and we were already number 94 on the list of requests for a room change.

I was in E718 and you get noise from the lounge below, fortunately it doesn't operate too late at night and you also get vibration from the thrusters when you are entering or leaving a port.
