The Wedding Experience St Thomas or Onboard Ruby Princess
We are booked for The Wedding Experience on St Thomas
but we are at a toss up. From my understanding the TWE St Thomas wedding does not play music , you are driven in a standard cab which the ones in st thomas are open air buses or van which are not in the greatest maintenance nor AC working. We kinda feel cheated on this.
However on Board the Ruby Princess wedding you seem to get more live music, the bride is escorted down the isle where in st thomas is get out get married and walla congrats 10min your done.
Whats your take on this? Which one would you do and why?
and for anyone who has done the TWE St thomas how was your wedding experience.
We have till 6pm tonight to decide if we want to change or wedding from st thomas to on the ship
another thing to consider, if, God forbid, something happens and the ship is late getting to St Thomas or has to change course what will happen then? I just think it is less risky doing it on board the Ruby..Our granddaughter got married on X about 4 years ago, just before sailing. It was an awesome experience for all of us..
There was a flurry of publicity years ago, when a bride planned a Key West wedding and the ship had to bypass the port due to weather conditions.. her guest were waiting on the island, and the bride and groom were on the ship....I hope you decided on the ship.
Trip, with her book & tea!

Hi- just came back from a week on the Ruby princess. My daughter was married on Tues at sea by the Commodore. EVERYTHING was perfect! Highly recommend the "at sea" option. Our wedding coordinators on-ship were great. Size of group will determine how many coordinators you pay for. Commodore was very involved from the day we boarded the ship. He stopped by to meet the bride/groom during their initial on-board meeting with the coordinator (embarkation day), and...he swung by our section at dinner the last night to say goodbye and wish them well. Overall, first class ceremony, music, flowers, catering, and reception. Oh, and...our bride had a Baked Alaska Wedding cake. The Head Pastry Chef did a phenomenal job with it. A Tiered Baked Alaska!
