Default spa treatment curiosity

has anyone ever tried the Ionithermie Algae Detox? it offers "substantial inch loss" after only 1 session... of course this would be water weight but i am still intrigued...

Hi Megs: I signed up for the spa raffle the first day of our cruise and won a 1/2 price Ionithermie Algae Detox. Glad I didn't pay full price, as I wasn't really impressed. I lost 5 inches (water weight, I'm sure) and was told I'd lose more with each consecutive treatment. No thanks, been there, don't that. I'd opt out for a massage or facial over the algae detox treatment any day, but that's just my opinion.

where does the algae come in anyway? do they wrap you up in a cocoon or make you drink it or what?

I hope Meg doesn't mind me treading on her post...but has anyone ever had a swedish massage and a hot stone massage?

I have had a swedish before and loved it. Since I only can afford one, which should I chose?

(Thanks Meg)

Hi Megs: the algae is in form of a gel spread on legs, stomach and back, then you're covered with some type of wrap/sheet and lay cocooned like that for approximately 20 minutes. I forgot to mention the therapist places a few electrodes to run low current to the muscles. Like I said, been there, done that, mostly likely won't try it again.
