Default Wheelhouse Bar

In reading recent reviews of both the Emerald and the Ruby Princess there have been references to food being served in the Wheelhouse Bar; "Pub Lunch" and "Fish & Chips". Is this something new and is it only on certain ships? We were on the Sapphire for a week in February and there was no food served in the Wheelhouse Bar at either lunch or dinner.

Dianne....It started on the Ruby and as far as i know Princess were considering rolling it out fleet wide no idea if it is on any other ship as of yet! ....it is only on Sea days and we tried it out on our November cruise, the mushy peas sadly seemed as though they had been in a blender! but the Fish and Chips were very good.
I love the smell of Jet fuel in the mornings!

Thanks for the info. I read the cruise review written by Rollerdonna of her Emerald Princess trip to the Caribbean and noted that the "Pub Lunch" was available on that ship as well. I see you are from Bolton - being a Salford girl originally (been in the California many, many years) I would love some good fish & chips or a ploughman's lunch.

Diane, I can certainly vouch for the food in the British Pub Wheelhouse Bar (Sea Days only) on the Emerald Princess. It was excellent, all 4 offerings on the menu. Can't tell you about the mush peas, because I don't eat them, but my hubby finished everything!

Caribbean Princess also offers a pub style lunch( on sea days), but its in the Crown Grill not the Wheelhouse bar. This may be the case on other ships as well. No up charge like dinner.
Make everything in life fun. You make the experience fun not those around you.
