Default 1st time Pinrcess cruisers on the Caribbean Princess

My husband and I are getting ready to take our first Princess Cruise on the Caribbean Princess in July. Have cruised Oceania, Renaissance, Holland American, etc. Would love to hear the pros and cons of the Caribbean Princess and any other info you may think is helpful.
Getting a little concerned because all the reviews we read are either wonderful or terrible, no happy medium. I guess more people will write if they are dissatisfied.
Any comments on the "Chef's Table"?, "the Sanctuary"? Food in the dining room, etc.
Thanx in advance,
Kathie

We haven't sailed "Caribbean Princess" for a couple of years, but every time we sailed her in the past, we've had nothing but a GREAT cruise aboard this ship. If you go aboard with a positive attitude, you too will have a wonderful time.

I sailed on the CP a couple of years back, it was my first Princess cruise. I have sailed RC and NCL and I happen to think the food on Princess is better. The CP also has a great pool area. I didn't use the Sanctuary but it looked very nice, terry covered loungers.

If I remember correctly, the atrium isn't as large as the Crown Princess, but very beautuful none the less.

The staff were very attentive and made it a great cruise experience. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous cruise!

We are on the 10/17/09 to New England/Canada. Last cruise of the season there. I have never taken a repositioning cruise nor the first or last of the run, so hopefully it will be good!!

Default Princess

Mark, hope you enjoy Princess, I sure do. Not the party ship, but you can still party and have fun. Seems like a middle of the road cruise line. This will be my 4th Princess cruise in October and I hope many more. The price seems right.

I just got done taking a cruise on the Caribbean Princess on 5/24. First, I was satisfied with the ship and MOST of the personnel. The passenger services people are straight up idiots - I am now awaiting a refund of an erroneous charge that was supposed to have been taken care of on the ship by them. Since they mucked it up, I now have to wait 2-3 weeks for it and had to spend over 2 hours on the phone with Princess Customer Service (which is a JOKE). The Sancturary is NOT to be missed if you are not a fan of children and/or overcrowding at the general all ages pools. I'll have pics up on my myspace, pm if you are interested in seeing them. We also were screwed out of our Bermuda port and there was absolutely nothing done to make up for it.

All in all, while I enjoyed the cruise, I won't be taking another Princess (or Carnival or any other sister entity of theirs) cruise due to their crappy service with regards to customer relations.

Not sure what happened to your port of call? Did the ship state why?

I always pay with a credit card. You can contest erroneous charges with the bank.

When you do finally get your refund, will you still dismiss all the affiliated lines?

Sweet Sailing

My DH and I will be sailing on the Sapphire Princess in November. It is our first cruise together, his first cruise EVER. It will be my first Princess cruise and we are looking forward to it.

Mexican Riviera for 7 days. A good first cruise for a novice. I hope he really enjoys it because I love to cruise.

I thought this forum was for The Caribbean Princess(CB).
The Sapphire is nice though.
