Has anyone had success being wait listed on Princess?

We are 2.5 weeks out from our cruise and another family member has decided she'd like to join us. She has cruised on Princess before, but it appears all cabins are wait listed. I assume this means it's a full ship? Has anyone had luck with wait listing?
