We haven't been on the Island, but were on the Coral (sister ship) to Panama. It was awesome! We'd love to do it again, but have been taking 7 day cruises to save money. We've been on several Princess ships and have love them all. They have a wide variety of venues and types of entertainment. We end up in Explorers Lounge much of the time. We have found that Princess has been consistently great for entertainment, service, food. Ten day cruises are so relaxing!

I was afraid I would be bored with the Canal, but found it fascinating!

Why do you think you made a mistake? What is your concern?

Reason for the comment "mistake" is that "O" chat regarding this cruise. None ,nadda, nothing.

That can happen sometimes...same thing with reviews. But I'm sure you'll have company. Princess ships are almost always full!

Have a great cruise!

Hi Derf69,

I have taken that cruise and enjoyed it very much. I have sailed the Island Princess three times now and am amazed at how well the ship has been maintained over the years. This spring it still looks like brand new. I like the Caribbean but have to say that I am an even bigger fan of Alaska.

I have also sailed Holland America and Celebrity and would give Princess a slight edge over HAL and a big edge over Celebrity.

Enjoy your cruise.

Debra

Default Island Princess Oct.10

Hi, I also am going to the Panama Canal Oct. 10. trip .I have been through the canal 5 times previous going through both ways and I still find it facinating. This will be my 42nd cruise with 31 on Princess. I have always found the service and food to be excellent. Maybe I will see you onboard.

Check your e-docs.....I think the Island Princess leaves on October 11th....not the 10th.
